The names Maurice Sendak, Ruth Krauss and Crockett Johnson are highly recognizable in the world of children's literature as authors or illustrators of such classics as "Where the Wild Things Are," "A Hole Is to Dig," and "Harold and the Purple Crayon."

Silvermine Arts Center features Rowayton Artist Gabor Peterdi "Selections from the Gabor Peterdi International Print Collection"

In 2012, Silvermine Galleries officially named its print collection “The Gabor Peterdi International Print Collection”, in honor of Silvermine's print collection founder, Gabor Peterdi, the late Hungarian-American painter and print maker who was a long-time Rowayton resident.

This fall the Historical Society loaned part of our Frank E. Raymond Marine Collection to the Bruce Museum in Greenwich for their exhibition "Oysters: Pearls of Long Island Sound."
