RHS Collection loaned to the Bruce Museum for exhibit "Oysters: Pearls of Long Island Sound"
This fall the Historical Society loaned part of our Frank E. Raymond Marine Collection to the Bruce Museum in Greenwich for their exhibition "Oysters: Pearls of Long Island Sound." The history of the cultivation and harvesting of oysters from the Long Island Sound is told with the help of some of the many objects Frank Raymond and the members of our society have collected and preserved over the years. We are delighted to be able to partner with organizations in our region. Being able to contribute to the exhibition at the Bruce Museum gives the the Historical Society a wonderful opportunity to share history with a wider public. The exhibit runs until March 23, 2014.
